You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOur Northern Specialist Family Violence Service (NSFVS) team are the lead provider for the integrated family violence service system in the Northern Metropolitan sub-region.
The NSFVS provides support services to victim survivors of family violence including children inclusive of cisgender heterosexual women; and people from the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Intersex and Queer Community (LGBTIQ).
The Opportunity
NSFVS provides a range of specialist family violence programs. The service aims to support victim survivors and their children to remain safely within their community and maintain a life free of violence while also addressing the emotional and practical needs and issues arising from the violence.
We currently havetwo roles availableand both positions are based at our Preston officeon Wurundjeri Country with a mix of working in the office and working from home.
Key Responsibilities
This role is solution focused actioning brief to intermediate specialist family violence responses. The primary function of the role is to:
The Specialist Family Violence Practitioner -Crisis/Intake Response will respond to incoming calls and referrals from victim survivors and provide secondary consultations to professionals this role may also include short term case management to victim survivors in crisis accommodation.
