Job Summary
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The role involves controlling and verifying the thickness prepare and set up diamond-turning machines ensuring proper tool alignment machine calibration and configuration for the specific task. Finish quality and optical figure of all machined parts. Adjust the correct diamond-cutting tools based on material and desired specifications. Perform precision machining of components such as mirrors or lenses by controlling the diamond-cutting tool Inspect parts during and after machining to ensure they meet required specifications using tools like interferometers and other measuring instruments to verify optical quality and finish
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent with competency in math and algebra skills.
Experience:
- Precision machining Mechatronics or CNC programming
- 12 years of experience in precision machining or CNC operations.
- Machine shop experience particularly in precision machining is a plus.
- Familiarity with optical metrology and inspection tools
Skills
- Must have good manual dexterity
- Knowledge of selecting and adjusting diamond-cutting tools for specific tasks and materials.
- Understanding of safety protocols when working with machinery tools and materials to maintain a safe work environment.
Working Conditions
- This role is 100% onsite
- Rotating 12hrs Shift
