Job Summary
Position Description:
We are looking for a seasoned Project/Program Controller Consultant who brings strategic thinking operational discipline and strong interpersonal skills to support the governance and execution of complex initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring that project and portfolio management practices are effectively applied across delivery teams. With your deep understanding of project methodologies capacity planning and performance tracking you will act as a trusted advisor within the PMO helping drive alignment transparency and results.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Support the Portfolio Manager in developing a master schedule that consolidates all projects and programs within the portfolio.
- Lead the implementation of capacity management processes (methodology governance procedures).
- Monitor resource availability identify overallocations and collaborate to resolve conflicts.
- Track portfolio costs and timelines identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in portfolio reporting and accountability.
- Contribute to risk tracking issue management change requests decisions and follow-ups.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for the project/program portfolio.
- Plan and manage monthly closing activities related to portfolio tracking.
- Ensure compliance with portfolio management procedures and methodologies.
- Support the onboarding of new Project/Program Controllers.
- Monitor performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a project program or portfolio controller.
- Strong understanding of business functional and corporate processes.
- Excellent problem-solving mentoring and coaching skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in collaborative and team-based settings.
- Sound judgment and discretion in sensitive situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Bilingual (French and English) required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google tools (Excel Sheets etc.).
