Salary: $21.56 (plus weekly production bonus)

Basic Job Functions:
Operate and monitor machines to ensure efficient and accurate production including loading materials selecting tools programming controls and performing setups. Follow blueprints to manufacture parts and use precision instruments to inspect finished items for quality compliance. Maintain safety and proper alignment when handling metal materials and using power tools. Keep a clean organized work area in compliance with company standards and perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Read and understand blueprints
- Use hand and /or power tools
- Prior experience operating machines
- Basic Reading and writing skills
- Understand verbal and written instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or GED preferred
- Experience as a Punch Press Operator or similar role
- CNC machine certification
- Ability to read and understand G code
- Previous experience working for a manufacturing company preferred
- Knowledge of 5S Lean manufacturing
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
