  • Take ownership of diverse engineering tasks within R&D projects applying your technical expertise and independent problem-solving skills

  • Understand key business drivers and use this insight to deliver impactful results aligned with Hitachi Energys goals

  • Contribute innovative ideas to ongoing projects and propose new initiatives within your technical domain

  • Act as a valuable team member or sub-project leader ensuring alignment with project timelines budgets and quality standards

  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in energy systems and apply this knowledge to improve operations and customer satisfaction

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues share your expertise and support the team in delivering high-quality outcomes

  • Participate in engineering networks to grow your visibility and knowledge in your area of specialization

  • Understand the importance of intellectual property (IP) contribute to IP discussions and identify potential risks in R&D projects

Your background

  • Masters degree in electrical engineering

  • 25 years of experience in R&D within a business environment

  • Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal

  • Solid understanding of energy systems and transformers; experience with bushings is a plus

  • Ability to align R&D activities with business processes and strategic goals

  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate requirements into technical solutions

  • Awareness of intellectual property considerations in the R&D lifecycle

  • Open-minded collaborative creative and eager to learn
