Job Description:
The selected candidate will analyze and design sequences of operations and workflows to improve efficiencies in plant / production facilities and equipment layouts; establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish accident prevention measures and coach training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. The candidate will conduct studies pertaining to cost / schedule control cost reduction inventory control and all phases of production record systems. On the basis of these studies the candidate will develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. The candidate may assist facilities engineers in the design and planning of facility infrastructure to support operations.
Essential Functions:
Provides direct support to Hangar Dock and Line (HDL) through problem root cause analysis and improvement recommendations/implementation; pre-induction setup; improvement efforts directed toward workflow work sequencing work area layout standardized work development and training of metrics and input processes to HDL efforts to ensure the safe and efficient utilization of time personnel material equipment and capital resources. Aircraft MRO (maintenance repair & overhaul) experience a plus. Orchestrator of monthly segment financial reporting to include tracking of segment improvement projects financial savings progress and status updates.
Develop validate implement and maintain labor standards for a variety of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
Work jointly with cross-functional engineering groups performing concurrent engineering and producibility analysis.
Develop and implement tools/methods for measuring productivity and program cost performance (EAC/ETC)
Pull analyze and report data to support Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management in making key decisions
Assist management in implementing process improvement initiatives to include
e3 PPM database management for ISR
Success Story creation and posting
Monthly Operations Review slide decks creation
Gemba Maturity Audit oversight
Works under general supervision. May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area. May be responsible for providing guidance coaching and training to other employees within job area.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in industrial engineering or related field with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area
Works to achieve operational targets with direct impact on the departmental results. Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts (budgets Operational plans etc.).
Fluent in Microsoft Word Excel Access and PowerPoint applications.
Perform work measurement and process flow analysis while developing manufacturing metrics
Implement process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing techniques
Communicate excellently across all levels (both written and verbal)
Learn quickly and adapt to new environments
Develop manufacturing work standards
Preferred Additional Skills:
Black Belt Green Belt and/or Lean Certification highly desirable
Ability and drive to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Working knowledge of manufacturing and/or supply chain/logistics methods and processes
Work experience in non-repetitive design-to-order manufacturing environments
