Seeking an experienced professional in learning design and development to join our team as a Global Learning Design and Development Project Manager Assistant Director.

EYs Global Learning function designs develops and deploys technical and non-technical learning for EY professionals across the the Design and development team we are applying learning science and proven technology in the development and curation of the best learning content.

We are looking for a colleague to join our virtual team working from over 20 geographical locations across the world. We offer flexible working the chance to work in a multicultural and multinational environment and best in class teaming and collaboration.

The opportunity

This role in the global learning team that will give you the opportunity to make a difference by helping EY professionals globally grow their skills and accelerate their careers.

This position is responsible for project management of design development and curation of individual learning items and blended learning programs. The project manager will monitor the progress of instructional designers developers graphic artists quality assurance specialists and all others associated with the design process. They will assist portfolio design leads and managers in overseeing and managing all design activities necessary to deliver learning products that meet EYs design quality standards on time and to budget. The project manager will also work to a set of agreed project management standards and processes and will share best practices to support the continuous improvement of design and development speed efficiency and quality. The project manager Assistant Director will be able to manage autonomously with limited need for supervision.

This role will provide the opportunity to work in a dynamic fast paced environment supporting multiple projects at a time.

Your key responsibilities

  • Deliver learning design and development projects (including large scale highly complex projects) on time to budget and quality standards
  • Develop a detailed project plan for each project based on a standard template identifying deliverable due dates and review cycles
  • Establish and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders including subject matter resources other learning stakeholders and third-party learning vendors
  • Ensure adherence to operations and compliance processes including procurement finance and Risk Management
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of vendor project managers designers and developers where applicable
  • Identify and assess risks and consult with leadership or stakeholders on options in a timely manner
  • Facilitate and lead regular project and team meetings
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Leverage and share best practices of project management with other team members
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior project managers on the team
  • Make recommendations to leadership regarding competing priorities and resource management issues
  • Initiate and ensure the effective and timely publication of learning content by content administration
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems tools and techniques

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in managing learning design and development projects preferably at a global level and/or to a dispersed client base
  • Demonstrable experience involving project management skills including management of vendors
  • Demonstrable experience in concurrently managing multiple large-scale and highly complex learning and development projects involving all delivery channels/types
  • Demonstrable experience using project management software including Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrable experience of having built and maintained strong relationships with business customers/clients including at the senior or c-suite level
  • Demonstrable experience of thinking and acting strategically and commercially in pursuit of the wider EY business objectives
  • Demonstratable experience of mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members

Ideally youll also have

  • Strong knowledge of - and commitment to optimize - learning end-to-end processes and standards
  • Knowledge of learning science and evidence-based design standards and practices to ensure that EYs learning content is of the highest quality and has the desired business impact
  • A bachelors degree and ideally higher professional or masters qualification in a related discipline
