Senior Production Planner

Position Summary

The Senior Master Planner controls and manages millions of dollars of inventory and shipments by proper scheduling and analyzing of products as derived from market forecasts customer orders and trend analysis and inputs these requirements into the planning system. The position entails developing weekly production requirements and releasing work orders scheduling of sales orders interfacing with customer service sales professionals purchasing engineering and manufacturing to meet customer expectations.

This is a hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite at our Conroe TX facility 3 days/week.

What Youll do as a Senior Master Planner

• Formulates the master production plan that best meets market forecasts inventory objectives and customer requirements based on value stream constraints.
• Loads MRP based on agreed upon build plan driving site level inventory spend.
• Escalates build interruptions for resolution to ensure excellent customer service.
• Schedule sales orders in Oracle to availability SSQ lead-time and to best meet customers requirements.
• Work with Customer Sales Support to resolve scheduling issues as well as Manufacturing to resolve any Purchasing and Production issues.
• Resolve daily MRP problems including identifying product structure problems input and other errors.
• Participate in new products implementation and handle Phase-In/Phase out planning for their products that will assist in minimizing obsolete inventory and provide a smooth timely product implementation.
• Monitor and report production schedule planning and manufacturing accuracy.
• Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions to support master planning.
• Constantly maintain evaluate recommend and implement improvements in material requirements planning (MRP) to drive down inventory levels.
• Maintain and develop standard work as needed train team members and serve as a point of escalation when required.
• Provides inputs to demand planning on shipment schedules plans and forecast based on capacity. (S&OP process).

The Experience Skills and Abilities Needed

Required

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Business or related.
• 5 years of experience in planning.
  • OR High School Diploma. PLUS 13 years of supply chain experience.
• Advanced experience with material requirements planning (MRP) and Master Planning.
• 1 year of advanced Microsoft Excel experience.

Preferred

• Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience using SAP or Oracle preferred.
• MBA preferred.
• APICS certification preferred.
