Location: Based within the Anglian Water Huntingdon area. Please note your placements may vary across the region and departments so flexibility is essential.

Our two-year graduate programme is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your career in a vital and fast-paced industry. Youll be joining our Water Production team which plays a crucial role in delivering clean sustainable water to millions of customers across our region.
No two days are the same. Through rotational placements youll gain exposure to a wide range of challenges and experiences. This dynamic environment will help you develop your technical knowledge leadership skills and strategic thinking. Youll be at the heart of our mission to protect the environment and deliver exceptional service to our customers. Youll gain hands-on experience and insight into the complexities of water management and build a strong foundation for a long-term career in the water industry.
What Youll Be Doing
The Water Resources & Drought Team ensure we deliver environmentally sustainable water resources both now and for future generations. Throughout the graduate placement you will spend time across a number of teams to give you the skills and experience to help you prepare for a senior role within Water Resources Management.
Examples include:
Drought Management we operate in the driest part of the UK where around half of the water we supply comes from groundwater sources (e.g. boreholes) and the other half from surface water sources (e.g. reservoirs and rivers). You will have the opportunity to learn how we carefully monitor and manage our water resources position to ensure we keep taps flowing now and long into the future.
Sustainable Abstraction our region is environmentally sensitive and we are committed to ensuring all our water resources abstractions are sustainable to support the this team you will learn how we manage new and emerging environmental obligations including the delivery of physical river restoration and habitat improvement schemes across our region as well as how we maintain compliance with our existing environmental obligations.
Supply Demand Strategy were working to ensure water is available for generations to comebalancing the needs of our customers and the environment. Here you will learn how we maintain balance between supply and demand against the backdrop of growth climate change drought and environmental pressures.
Groundwater Engineering we draw water from over 450 boreholes and have an in-house service to manage and maintain these groundwater assets 24/7. You will have the opportunity to actively contribute to safety management asset investment planning failure mode analysis and water quality management of these critical resources.
