Position Summary:
The FLOAT POOL Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in ambulatory practice areas function as integral members of the interdisciplinary team. The CMA is responsible for direct patient care and clinic operations in the ambulatory clinic environment including the maintenance of the environment of care and supplies/equipment. The CMA shares the responsibility with other clinicians in ensuring a safe environment for the patient while providing quality care and a positive patient experience. The CMA functions clinically under the authority of the physician within the scope of their certification. The CMA reports to the nurse manager and/or lead nurse who is responsible for the administrative supervision and direction of staff orientation and annual assessment of competencies and the assurance to clinic specific and hospital policies and procedures.
The CMA may be required to float between 10-12 ambulatory practice areas. Ideal candidate should be flexible and able to take direction as they learn the various clinic process etc.
Location:Johns Hopkins Hospital
Hours: Monday through Thursday hours to be discussed with Hiring Manager at time of interview (flexible)

Knowledge:
Salary Range: Minimum $18.15/hour - Maximum $26.32/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
