Position: Project Instrumentation Design Engineer
Location: Indore
Department: Projects
Reports To: Instrumentation Design Head
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Instrumentation Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves designing developing and implementing instrumentation systems for various industrial projects ensuring compliance with industry standards safety regulations and project requirements. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams clients and vendors to deliver cost-effective and reliable instrumentation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review instrumentation design documents including P&IDs datasheets specifications and control system architecture.
- Develop instrument index I/O lists and wiring diagrams.
- Design field instrumentation layouts hook-up drawings cable routing and control panel designs.
- Select and specify instruments such as transmitters analyzers sensors control valves and field devices.
- Ensure designs comply with international standards (ISA IEC API etc.) and project-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with process electrical piping and mechanical teams for integrated project execution.
- Conduct technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
- Provide engineering support during installation commissioning and troubleshooting at site.
- Monitor project schedules cost and quality for instrumentation deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards environmental regulations and client specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.E./ in Instrumentation Engineering Electronics & Instrumentation or related field.
- Experience: 37 years in instrumentation design engineering within EPC / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Power / Pharma / Manufacturing projects.
- Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC systems instrumentation standards and engineering software (SPI/INtools AutoCAD SmartPlant).
- Hands-on experience with field instruments control systems and industry codes.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
