Job Details
Community Use is the team that works hard to ensure most of the Halls Community Centres and Schools in Fife are available for everyone to enjoy learning leisure life and cultural events.
Together with amazing partners we deliver a fantastic programme of inclusive pursuits including physical activity & sport performing arts arts & crafts cookery modern languages and vocational training. We also offer space for meetings celebrations and community events in both modern and historical buildings usually found in the heart of the Kingdoms city towns and villages. More information about Community Use can be found at: at various locations in West Fife primarily at Dunfermline Learning Campus you will be responsible for supporting the operation and delivery of Community Use programmes. You will be expected to ensure that all halls rooms and facilities are set up in accordance with the booking requirements.
This includes the removal and storage of chairs and tables erecting and dismantling stages platforms and sports equipment as well as ensuring that these areas are kept clean and tidy all which should be followed in line with our health and safety procedures.
You will ensure that all facilities are opened and secured at prescribed times while also using fire alarm and security systems. Responding to any incidents or complaints and reporting them to your lead officer while also ensuring that these are documented will also be expected.
You will engage with customers and user groups in an appropriate manner ensuring that Council service provision is a positive experience for all facility users. You will contribute to the achievement of the key priorities and milestones set out in the Community Use Plan Service Improvement Plan and other relevant strategy documents.
The working hours will be on a casual as and when required basis which can include evenings and weekends depending on opening hours meeting with staff and customers and bookings of centres.

The Person
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with good customer service skills and experience of working with members of the public. They should understand Health & Safety regulation and obtain manual handling skills. Ideally the candidate will have some working knowledge of fire safety regulations risk assessments building compliance requirements and pool plant room operations.
In addition we are looking for someone who can demonstrate good communication skills and be customer focused. You should also be a well-organised individual and able to manage conflicting demands.
