Training Specialist is primarily involved in the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) which includes: analysis design development and implementation of training for job positions/activities in a nuclear facility.
Under limited supervision the Training Specialist has the following duties & responsibilities to execute the ADDIE model:
Facilitate and conduct needs and job analysis to identify training requirements (valid task list training requirements matrix analysis of existing training materials). Evaluates and plans the implementation of plantwide training related needs and requirements; with primary focus on Readiness Assurance personnel and activities.
Design training including determination of training setting and development of learning objectives evaluation standards and examination test items
Develop training materials including lesson plans and trainee support materials
Conducts classroom and/or simulator training (delivery and administrative responsibilities associated with each class)
Assist in the evaluation of training programs across the site
Interprets DOE Orders laws regulations company procedures and recommends training options which will yield the most value to the customer considering current in-house training available alternatives to traditional classroom training modification or development of new course materials or contracting training/material/lesson plans from outside vendors
Researches formulates designs develops and implements computer-based training (CBT) and eLearning materials.
Develops and maintains linkage between eLearning and the Learning Management System (LMS)
Accountable for all direct output assigned. Performs other duties and projects as assigned
i.e.
Baccalaureate degree in training/education and 1-year nuclear experience; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative) Direct knowledge and application of DOE 426.2 DOE-STDand DOE-HDBKwill be required. Knowledge of Readiness Assurance roles responsibilities and requirements.
Qualified BIT or OJT instructor
