Are you an experienced events professional with a passion for delivering large-scale events that make a real impact The City of Bunbury is seeking a dynamic Senior Major Events Officer to take charge of planning and executing the Citys major Sporting events as well as developing additional high-profile events that showcase our vibrant region.

About the Role

As the Senior Major Events Officer you will:

  • Lead the planning and execution of major events and additional signature events ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop event management plans risk assessments and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Secure funding sponsorships and partnerships to enhance event success.
  • Work closely with internal teams including Marketing & Communications Economic Development and Tourism to maximise community engagement.
  • Oversee event logistics supplier contracts and venue bookings.
  • Evaluate event success and recommend improvements for future events.

Were looking for someone with:

  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Events Management or equivalent experience in event or venue management.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering large-scale events.
  • Experience in budget management sponsorship acquisition and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.
