Job Description
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in human-Computer Interaction Industrial Design Interaction Design UX/UI Design or a related field
- 5 years of experience in digital product design with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI for complex data-rich systems (industrial automotive medical device or similar environments preferred).
- Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma Sketch Adobe Creative Suite Axure).
- Experience conducting user research usability testing and translating insights into actionable design improvements.
- Understanding of the physical cognitive and environmental challenges unique to heavy equipment or similar operator environments.
- Ability to communicate design rationale clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- Familiarity with responsive and scalable UI systems display hardware constraints and touch-based interaction design.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for digital products.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience designing for embedded systems in-vehicle infotainment or industrial control panels.
- Background in motion design data visualization or real-time system displays.
- Proficiency in creating UI specifications for custom hardware with unique input/output constraints.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards impacting industrial UI (e.g. ISO ANSI SAE guidelines).
- Familiarity with equipment construction mining or agriculture industries.
