Description
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of programs to achieve food service excellence within the Food Transportation Team. This position is accountable for communicating instructions directing other employees ensuring appropriate delivery times making recommendations to Director for improvement. This position will record and post patient meal satisfaction results monitor tray line temperatures and food quality for all food that is being transported. The incumbent will have a high degree of visibility and contact with food production staff hospital employees physicians dietitians visitors and patients. The primary focus is to archive and continuously improve performance in patient satisfaction through assessment design delivery monitoring and coaching of ServiceFIRST and department standards. Will create positive work team relationships that will provide the highest quality of nutritional service to our patients. The incumbent is accountable for all aspects of food service to patients and must demonstrate the ability to work with patients physical motor/sensory adaptation cognitive and psychological needs specific to populations served (i.e. children adolescents adults and geriatric patients) and meet standards of quality as measured by the department age specific competency standards. Will demonstrate an understanding of all patient populations served.
Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications Required Certified Dietary Manager is preferred Drivers License is required Educational Requirements Post high school education preferable Able to read and write accurately and legibly Able to follow oral and written directions 18 years of age or older Must be able to read and write and follow oral and written directions accurately Experience Requirements Coaching/management experience required Preferred two years of supervisory/management experience Special Skills or Training Requirements Required to maintain a high standard of professionalism and respect for confidentiality of patient data Maintains a professional image and attitude Strong organizational/time management skills to complete various projects and tasks within set deadlines Demonstrates the ability to make daily independent decisions i.e. those relating to staffing food substitutions within prescribed diet prescriptions communicating patient issues with other members of the nutrition food service team and service recovery i
