Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated graduate student to join our team as a Data Process Automation Intern. This role offers hands-on experience in automating data workflows streamlining business processes and supporting digital transformation initiatives. Youll work with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to real-world applications of data engineering scripting and automation tools. This is a hybrid role. This person must be available to work onsite in our Lake Forest office Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and will work remote Monday and Friday.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct business process understanding and reviews with business SMEs.
- Document the as-is business process leveraging tools such as Microsoft Visio or similar tools to document detailed business processes tools used and functional workstreams involved.
- Identify process gaps or define opportunities for data process automation to drive standardization productivity and process improvement.
- Prepare business proposal with future state recommendations and next steps for incorporating data process automation.
Education and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Data Science Computer Science Engineering Information Systems Business Analytics or related field
- Demonstrated experience in documenting business processes
- Experience in applying RPA (robotic process automation) low code automation or AI solutions
- Understanding of data structures databases and automation logic
- Technical expertise (preferred but not required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
