The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 3000 skilled engineers who focus on tendering engineering planning procurement project Management functional system testing installation supervision documentation and commissioning. However over the last decade it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energys units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy to date the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

How youll make an impact:

Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and assess the quality and suitability of their products and services. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements that align with Hitachi Energys objectives. Maintain precise records of purchases and pricing utilizing Hitachi Energys procurement systems and processes.
Collaborate with various departments including engineering production and project.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and Hitachi Energys quality standards.
Track and report key performance metrics to optimize procurement processes reduce expenses and enhance operational efficiency.
Develop and execute procurement strategies that balance cost-effectiveness with high quality standards in alignment with Hitachi Energys business goals.
Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations and establish and nurture long-term relationships with key suppliers.

Your background:

Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or in Electrical & Electronics.
Should have 8-10 years of experience.
Should have in-depth knowledge of SC principles and procurement best practices.
Should have exceptional expericne in negotiation and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP and other procurement tools.
