Job Description


Summary

Responsible for the successful marketing (sales renewals and/or service) of group and/or individual accounts for products as defined by production quotas within assigned territory. Customarily and regularly engaged in outside sales.


Description

Location: This position is fully remote. Candiate must reside in Charleston South Carolina.

What You Will Do:

  • Develops and executes marketing plans for new sales and/or retention of existing accounts within assigned territory. Prepares and presents proposals and communications to groups agents and/or individuals.

  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with groups agents and/or individuals. Assesses agency agent group and/or individual sales opportunities and works with groups agent and/or individuals to resolve problem issues.

  • Conducts on-going market research and provides key information that may lead to sales. Prepares and submits required marketing reports to management detailing how best to position company products.

  • Maintains product/industry knowledge and marketing skills by attending trading seminars continuing education classes conferences etc.

To Qualify for This Position You Will Need the Following:

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Required Work Experience: 1-year sales and marketing.

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to develop/maintain effective relationships with groups agents and potential customers. Knowledge of marketing principles techniques and the marketplace. Effective presentation and customer service skills. Analytical or critical thinking skills. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Effective organizational skills. Ability to persuade negotiate or influence others. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

  • Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office.

  • Required License and Certificate: Department of Insurance Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire in state employed.

We Prefer You to Have:

  • Preferred Work Experience: 3 years customer service provider network.

  • Preferred Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of mathematical or statistical concepts.

  • Preferred Software and Tools: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Access or other spreadsheet/database software.
