Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for safely loading unloading and moving materials within or near the site.
First Shift Schedule: 10 days on from 8am to 4pm followed by 4 days off. Overtime required as business required.
Pay: Pay starts at $22/hour and can be adjusted with experince.
What you will do:
- At SPM Oil & Gas our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service
- Unload stock and inventory all deliveries
- Assist with new orders and cycle counts
- Read and understand standard work and risk assessments
- Exhibits equipment and product understanding
- Counts weighs secures tags palettize and stacks materials and maintains accurate records of material movement
- Assist service operations with pulling and picking parts
- Performs other job duties as assigned
What you will have:
- Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience operating a forklift
Top Candidates will have:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a clean driving record which generally means:
- No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.
- No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
- Basic understanding of the warehouse distribution industry
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
Work Environment:
- Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to high precarious places and vibration
- Noise Level: Moderate

Summary Pay Range:
$19.85 - $26.55Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
