Job Description
We are currently seeking a Traveling Lead Foreman to oversee and execute heavy commercial electrical projects across various industrial sites. While the work environments are industrial the project scopes are often straightforward yet time-sensitive. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives under pressure works collaboratively with a team and takes initiative to deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a crew of at least 4 (typically 2 licensed electricians and 2 apprentices) on each job site.
- Oversee project timelines labor and site coordination to ensure deadlines are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints one-line diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Perform and supervise electrical work including:
- Conduit and wiring installations
- Generator and UPS system installations
- Low- and medium-voltage systems
- Maintain consistent communication with project managers and office staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards codes and project specifications.
- Provide professional clear verbal and written communication on project updates.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience leading large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions in the field.
- Willing and able to work up to 60 hours per week.
- Comfortable with extensive travel; this is a travel-dependent position.
- Ability to work independently and lead teams with minimal supervision.
- Highly accountable reliable and professional in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License (Required).
- Minimum 5 years of field experience in electrical construction.
- Previous leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of electrical codes installation practices and jobsite safety.
- Proficiency in blueprint and schematic reading.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Compensation & Benefits
- $35 $45 per hour (based on experience)
