The Investor Relations (IR) department is primarily responsible for communications and relationship management between the company and its investors and sell-side equity analysts. Key objectives for the group include: promoting fair valuation of the companys equity organizing investor marketing and events engaging with the investor base and providing insights to the companys leadership team. Additionally the IR team collaborates with our global finance organization and business units to flawlessly execute the quarterly earnings release process.

What You Will Do:

The Investor Relations Manager is a critical team member accountable for delivering investor insights supporting the earnings process and managing the shareholder outreach process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting financial analyses and reporting them to the Investor Relations team and executive management.
  • Leading market research and competitive analysis to deliver market intelligence and insights on economic and regulatory developments.
  • Leading shareholder outreach campaigns during the Spring and Fall.
  • Monitoring investor feedback sell-side research financial metrics and industry trends to analyze the companys investment community perception.
  • Supporting communication of the organizations strategy financial results and performance reports to current and potential investors and research analysts.

What You Have:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in finance accounting economics or relevant fields.
  • Experience: 5 year experience in equity research valuation corporate finance and / or investor relations.

What skills you will need:

  • Financial Modeling and Financial Statement Analysis: Knowledge of processes tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results. Knowledge of financial statements; ability to analyze financial statement data and determine the value of a business.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Research Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients vendors and peers.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Experience leading and supervising teams
  • Professional certificates or credentials such as CFA CERA etc.
  • Advanced degree such as MBA in finance

  • Location: Global headquarters in Irving Texas
  • This position requires 5 days a week in office
  • Travel up to 5%

Summary Pay Range:

$144960.00 - $217320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
