Manager of Outpatient Surgical Services

Job Summary

The Manager of Outpatient Surgical Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations clinical services and administrative functions of outpatient care programs. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards optimizing resource utilization and supporting departmental growth. The Manager collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to achieve operational excellence enhance patient satisfaction and foster a positive work environment.

Essential Functions

• Supervises daily operations of outpatient services including staffing workflow and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
• Develops and implements policies procedures and best practices to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and organizational goals.
• Monitors departmental performance metrics identifying areas for improvement and implementing quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Manages departmental budgets monitors expenses and identifies cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Supports the recruitment onboarding training and professional development of outpatient services staff fostering a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
• Collaborates with physicians clinicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve interdisciplinary communication.
• Addresses patient care concerns complaints and incidents promptly implementing corrective actions and promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
• Participates in strategic planning and operational decision-making to support the growth and development of outpatient services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or a related field required
• 3-5 years of experience in outpatient services ambulatory care or a related healthcare setting required
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure preferred
