Accountant/Auditor II
SALARY INFORMATION
Salary may be negotiable within the range listed above based on position requirements and the successful candidates qualifications subject to appropriate authorization.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
This recruitment will establish an open eligible list that will be used to fill current and future Accountant/Auditor II vacancies. The current vacancy is with the Registrar of Voters however the eligible list established will also be used to fill positions throughout the County of Orange.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Accountant/Auditor IIs primary responsibilities includes managing a five million annual billing via journal entries and invoices payroll processing accounts payable and receivable reconciling all department reporting and reviewing and processing mileage claim forms as well as performing other office duties as needed/assigned.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
This position will require to work overtime as needed during the election season including weekends weeknights and/or holidays.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS& CORE COMPETENCIES
In addition to the minimum qualifications the ideal candidate will possess at least one (1) year of experience with payroll processing or account reconciliation/billings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and/or experience in the following core competencies:
Technical Knowledge Technical Experience
Problem Solving Analytical Skills
Oral Written Communication Skills
