The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a wide range of accounting functions detail-oriented tech-savvy and eager to grow with our firm. Youll play an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records for our clients assisting with reconciliations preparing financial statements and supporting month-end close tax and payroll functions.

- Requirements & Qualifications to Get Job
- 24 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (QuickBooks or Xero experience preferred)
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or equivalent experience
- Strong Excel and MS Word skills (pivot tables lookups charts)
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting basics
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and familiarity with cloud-based accounting tools
- Excellent communication skills and client-service mindset
- Experience with general ledger systems
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
- Ability to think strategically and plan ahead
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)

- Tax preparation and payroll experience strongly preferred

- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers for multiple clients
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist with monthly quarterly and year-end close processes
- Support payroll processing and tax filings as needed
- Collaborate with senior team members on tax prep and strategic projects
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and firm standards
- Communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies and provide timely support
- Assist in preparing timely accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
- Support monthly forecasting and annual budget preparation
- Perform month-end close activities including journal entries account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor
