Overview

QA Technician l - Backup Hiring Immediately Plant City FL

$24.84 plus shift difference

Standard M-F Schedule

Occasional Weekend (Saturday/Sunday) Production Work is Required at Times

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Pays attention to fine
  2. Ability to read understand and prioritize production

  6. Understands all quality checks and can perform them
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage
  8. Ability to troubleshoot and problem
  9. Performing and documenting QC checks on sealing and
  10. Supporting production areas on floor with isolating defects and giving disposition on
  11. Effectively tracking and passing down status of defects holds and issues on the floor with samples at shift pass down to appropriate Plant personnel.
  12. Writing holds after effectively assessing level and magnitude of
  13. Organizing and tracking pick
  14. Making calls relative to specification whether product can be saved and whether equipment should be run relative to product Carton dimension testing on ACT III and working with tool and die to make adjustments to tooling setup as necessary.
  15. Operating specialized QA equipment to assess product quality including the COF (coefficient of friction tester) Digital micrometer Taber stiffness tester Straw Hole Punch tester etc.
  16. Making disposition on defective rolls and doing board tests to see if board is in
  17. Tracking isolating and holding defective roll stock and filing paperwork. May include calling and working with Pine Buff personnel to isolate defects.
  18. Filing Claims with Pine Bluff Mill on a monthly
  19. Pulling microbiological samples for FDA

Specific Safety Responsibilities:

    1. Report any unsafe conditions that are encountered.
    2. Report any injury or near miss to Team Leader immediately.
    3. Do not perform a duty that appears to be unsafe without consulting a Team Leader.
    4. Recognize hazards of the job and learn how to avoid them.
    5. Follow BJAs and SOPS.
    6. Observe all Safety Rules.
    7. Wear safety equipment and protective devices as required: steel-toe shoes hearing protection cut-gloves harness etc.
    8. Keep work area clean and uncluttered.
    9. Conduct safe behavior observation on a weekly basis 4 a month are required

    Specific SQF Responsibilities:

    1. Adhere to the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policy.
    2. Every Evergreen team member has a responsibility for ensuring the products we produce are safe and of good quality.
    3. Personally act with behaviors consistent with achieving and maintaining Safe Quality Foods Level 2 certification.
    4. Behavior in the facility and on equipment shall not compromise the food safety goals.
    5. Follow responsibilities for this job description on make ready start up or change over/line clearance procedure.
    6. Do not run unsafe product.
    7. Support the goal of producing a food safe product by following all programs policies SOPs as well as GMPs.
    8. Report and/or fix problem that creates a Food Safety Hazard.
    9. Place suspect product on precautionary hold.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Attendance: Must have less than 6 occurrences (points ISN) in the last 12
  2. Overall Evaluations: Must have an overall score of 80% for the past 12
  3. No written warnings or performance deficiencies on file for the past 12
  4. Must be able to work independently and think proactively with minimal daily
  5. Must have excellent written and verbal communication
  6. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and possess excellent follow-up skills with fine
  7. Must have strong computer Must know how to use Excel Access and Word.
