Position: Deputy Director of Womens Services
Reports to: Director of Womens Services
Location: A Womans Place 1049 Howard St.
Status: Exempt Non-Union
Salary: $80000
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Deputy Director of Womens Services will oversee all operations of A Womans Place facilitate individual and group supervision support the skill development of staff ensure compliance with program contractual requirements regulations and objectives and serve as the Director of Womens Services in their absence.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Oversee 24-hour operations of A Womans Place under the direction of the Director of Womens Services
Complete monthly program reports for the Board of Directors.
Monitor the work of and coach frontline staff and train coach develop evaluate and supervise the site management team
Provide individual supervision for Assistant Managers on a weekly basis.
Manage staff schedules and daily program activities
Ensure data quality and timeliness of relevant databases such as ONE Epic and others.
Follow up on the departments plan with staff training evaluation and continuing education
Respond effectively to grievances and client concerns
Assist in the development and execution of Continuous Quality Improvement plans for existing programs and the development of new programs
Maintain all program policies procedures and objectives
Act as community liaison interfacing with neighborhood groups and stakeholders
Interact effectively with city departments provider partners funders volunteers and potential donors
Participate in program planning development and maintenance of program goals
Work in close partnership with other Deputy Directors to ensure consistent and high-quality services across all program sites
Act as Director of Womens Services in their absence
Adhere to established policies and procedures
Attend all required training and meetings
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree or higher in a human services field or equivalent in education and work experience.
Minimum of three years of experience providing managerial oversight and individual coaching in a non-profit setting.
Extensive understanding of homelessness trauma DV/IPV HIV/AIDS substance use disorder and recovery mental health disorders neurodiversity justice involvement and systems of oppression.
Knowledge of and familiarity with databases including ONE CHANGES and Avatar.
Ability to educate teach train and evaluate front-line and supervisory staff
Ability to engage with others in a positive energetic helpful and trauma-informed manner.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Experience working with people from various cultures and backgrounds.
Proficiency with Office and G-Suite. Ability to work in a networked computer environment.
CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
TB clearance and verification of full COVID-19 vaccination within 7 days of hire.

Excellent organizational and administrative skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of San Francisco community resources and neighborhoods
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand and walk as needed throughout the shift for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to sit and use a computer including keyboard and visual display terminal for extended periods of time.
Finger hand and wrist agility.
Ability to complete tasks in an environment where interruptions are the norm and background noise is present.
Ability to move through buildings commonly including stairs between buildings and out in the community.
