Note:This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at our clients Charlotte NC office.

Note:The qualified candidate for this position must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experiencedRoadway Design Project Managerto join their Charlotte team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to lead high-impact transportation projects collaborate directly with clients and mentor junior engineers.

• Manage roadway design projects including highways arterials intersections and interchanges
• Oversee project budgets schedules scopes and deliverables
• Ensure compliance with NCDOT and FHWA standards
• Build and maintain strong client relationships serving as primary point of contact
• Lead proposal development and contribute to business development activities
• Mentor and train junior engineering staff
• Utilize design software such as MicroStation GeoPak and Open Roads

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• P.E. license in NC (or ability to secure within 6 months)
• 10 years of roadway design and project management experience
• Strong background with MicroStation GeoPak Open Roads CAD and Microsoft Office
• Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated success in business development and proposal preparation
