Position Summary:

The Talent Programs Coordinator supports the Talent Development department at Salt & Straw by coordinating and executing talent enablement initiatives across retail shops manufacturing and business support teams. This role assists in a wide range of activities including onboarding offboarding training logistics internal communications and leadership development programs. The Coordinator plays a key role in managing training schedules tracking program effectiveness and ensuring seamless delivery of learning experiences. This position requires a proactive detail-oriented individual with strong communication organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Team Members and leaders to enhance overall learning and development efforts.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in planning coordinating and executing training sessions for Team Members across all departments including onboarding compliance training skills development and leadership programs
  • Coordinate schedules book venues manage invitations track attendance and ensure that all training materials and resources are prepared and distributed in a timely manner
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires ensuring they receive a comprehensive introduction to the company and their roles; support offboarding activities including conducting exit interviews and managing transition training needs
  • Maintain detailed records of training activities track and report on participation and training completion rates and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of talent programs through feedback and data analysis
  • Support efforts to improve training processes by gathering feedback from participants identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes to optimize training delivery
  • Support internal communication efforts by assisting with the creation and distribution of newsletters maintaining the Saltie calendar and ensuring information is accurate timely and accessible to Team Members
  • Assist with administrative maintenance of Salt & Straws learning management system (LMS) including updating profiles setting automations troubleshooting issues and creating courses
  • Coordinate and support the internal seasonal flavor descriptions process and create engaging training that allows shop teams to provide unbelievable taste adventures
  • Support the hiring process for new Team Members by posting requisitions in Paycom initiating new hire paperwork and background checks conducting screening calls and scheduling interviews for Portland Support Center (PSC) and management positions
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Participate and contribute to discussions concerning department initiatives especially those relating to process improvement and Team Member engagement
  • Provide administrative support for the Talent team including managing calendars scheduling meetings and maintaining Team Member records; assist in preparing reports presentations and other documents related to talent management initiatives

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in training administrative support planning and coordinating activities or a related field
  • Experience in the hospitality/food industry food manufacturing and/or retail shops preferred
  • Experience using HRIS and LMS preferred

We are actively embracing pay transparency by disclosing the hiring wage for this role as $23.40-$26.00 per hour highlighting its full earning potential within the broader range of $23.40-$28.60 per hour.
