Job Description
The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer will be responsible for maintaining monitoring and optimizing Convatecs cloud infrastructure and services to ensure high availability security and performance. This role involves designing building and maintaining secure scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform. The engineer will also develop and maintain operational tools for deployment monitoring and analysis and perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization (FinOps). Collaboration with architecture development and PMO teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions will also be a key aspect of this position.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools.
Full responsibility from infrastructure design build and operate standpoint.
Assure Cloud operations being responsible for their operation.
Maintain and improve infrstructure-as-code (IaC) and deployment pipelines (e.g. Terraform)
Collaborates with IT security to maintain systems without vulnerabilities when possible and react if necessary.
Work with change requests & incident monitoring system (ServiceNow)
Is responsible for maintaining the integrity of Cloud Infra systems through change and ensures systems can operate and respond effectively to fluctuating capacity demands.
Writing/updating technical design build and process documentation.
Provide technical support during disaster and Perform Root Cause Analysis.

Key Requirements:
At least 4 years experience with Cloud operations or similar
Prove experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
Hands-on experience with cloud monitoring logging and alerting tools (e.g. Cloudwatch Azure monitor ElasticSearch Grafana NewRelic DynaTrace DataDog).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python PowerShell).
Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform CloudFormation or similar).
Good understanding of ITIL concepts and service management best practices.
Given problems to investigate Identifying potential project obstacles present findings.
Support the project team assisting on maintenance monitoring and documentation.
