Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality integrity and availability of the organizations information systems and assets. The analyst will develop and implement security policies procedures and strategies to defend against internal and external threats while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
Job Functions:
Develop implement and maintain security systems guidelines and strategies.
Protect organizational systems and data from unauthorized access use disclosure disruption modification or destruction.
Conduct security audits vulnerability assessments and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential threats.
Evaluate internal operations processes and controls; make recommendations for improvement.
Migrate non-compliant environments to compliant environments in alignment with security standards.
Ensure compliance with data protection guidelines industry standards and applicable laws/regulations.
Monitor security alerts investigate incidents and provide incident response support.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security best practices across operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Cyber Security Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
2 years of experience in information security cybersecurity or IT risk management.
Foundational knowledge of CMMC NIST 800-171 DFARS and other defense/DoD compliance frameworks.
Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems vulnerability scanners and SIEM platforms.
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g. Security CISSP CISM CISA) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job the employee routinely is required to learn and apply new information and/or skills. Must be able to interpret data information and documents.
Occasionally will need to left/and or move up to 10 lbs.
This is largely a sedentary role; This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
