Your role at St John of God Berwick Hospital
You will assist other members of the Food Services Department in providing high quality product and service to all customers such as patients caregiver and others.
Responsibilities include efficient delivery of service clearing and assisting with the plating of meals and cleaning of all areas associated with Food Services Department with a commitment to quality and productivity is expected. This position is varied over a number of different shifts.
The Position
Working within a team to deliver to patients the correct meal at the right temperature at the required time to the correct patient.
Prepare and store food in accordance with food safety plan and department standards and guidelines.
Food and beverages are delivered in a courteous and friendly manner and where required patients are assisted with their meals at the time of food delivery.
Food presentation is to be innovative and distinctive.
Ensure all food and beverage requests are communicated to the kitchen in a timely manner.
Review all returns of food to establish the reason for the foods return and communicate to the Food Services Team Leader.
Supports and is conversant with SJGHC policies and procedures.
You will have Food Handlers certificate Level 1 and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
To succeed you will have excellent communication skills and experience with a food service environment.

We will offer you
Salary: $31.41 to 32.69 per hour (casual) superannuation
Salary: $49812 to $51848 per annum (pro rata if part time) superannuation
Casual Permanent part time and fixed term positions available
