High-Dosage After School Literacy Program Cluster Leader
Description:
Through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education partnership the district will partner this year with Springboard Collaborative to close the literacy gap by closing gap between home and school. The partnership will coach educators and family members to help kids learn to read by the 4th grade. The high-dosage after-school literacy program will target first-grade students who are most at risk as identified by DIBELS.
The Cluster Leader will be responsible for leading the districts High Dosage Literacy After School Programming with its partner Springboard Collaborative across all school sites in their cluster. As part of their work the Cluster Leader will supervise the Program Leaders and teachers in the district and will report to the Program Director. This is a great opportunity to support families and to help students accelerate their progress in learning to read.
Working Time:
- Pre-Programming (September 6- October 17)
- Virtual Professional Development up to 6 hours
- Meeting with Springboard Team up to 5 hours
- School-based Support (weekly meetings planning and enrollment support assessment support) up to 10 hours
- District Programming (October 20-February 6th)
- Weekly Meetings with Springboard Team-1 hour with Springboard Program Director and 1 hour with all session leaders x 13 weeks up to 26 hours
- Program support-*3 hours per week for data review data reconciliation check-ins with Program Leaders and prep *no programming during week of Thanksgiving Break Winter Break or on other school closure dates* up to 30 hours
- School-Based Support- (On-site when possible: Instruction PLCs Family Workshops
Assessments Learning Celebrations) up to 15 hours
- Data Clean-Up and Program Wrap-Up up to 8 hours
Qualifications
- Current assignment as an Everett Public Schools teacher or administrator
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and proficiency in working with students in grades K-3 in the teaching of reading
- Current assignment working with students in grades K-8 in the buildings
- Experience leading other staff in after-school or summer program settings
Remuneration: $40 an hour for a maximum of 100 hours

Essential Duties:
- Support student enrollment by ensuring complete records and waivers.
- Support family recruitment for the program.
- Attend the leadership onboarding/training.
- Attend weekly meetings with a manager.
- Recruit staff and ensure they register.
- Lead or support PLC planning & implementation.
- Lead weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports.
- Provide guidance coaching and feedback to teachers.
- Co-Facilitate weekly City-wide Meetings.
- Attend PD (Literacy practices Family engagement) as needed.
- Monitor and manage attendance and Team-Building Huddle completion.
- Monitor and manage the completion of beginning & ending assessments.
- Monitor and coach toward high-quality instructional implementation.
- Monitor and coach toward high-quality family engagement (workshops).
- Monitor and coach the use of Impact Funds to support programmatic engagement.
- Complete Connect training (Connect).
- Support with systems access and troubleshooting (Connect Raz).
- Review data in Connect (independent review to prep for 1:1 PLC city-wide).
- Clean up and finalize data.
- Complete other tasks as assigned to support the effective implementation of the program.
