Job Description
As the Senior Group & Events Sales Manager you will be responsible for reactive sales for all groups & events via incoming calls or emails from clients leading show-rounds and events for prospective clients and supporting the sales team.
The Role
To have a genuine warm and friendly manner over the phone and in person in order to convert enquiries to booked events.
Have a complete understanding of budget targets and forecasts for your department.
Maintain accurate client records and build strong relationships.
Negotiate contracts and packages for clients ensuring we maximise revenue.
To book visits and show rounds for any prospective clients who may be interested in our venue for their events.
To supervise team members training and act as the point of contact if the Director of Events/Assistant Director of Events is not present.
Work with clients to identify their needs and to update when appropriate on event progress.
Conduct market research gather information and negotiate contracts prior to closing any deals.
Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality.
Have a full understanding and knowledge of F&B and events offering so you can appropriately tailor events and upsell where appropriate.
Assist with the planning of each even where required from start to finish according to requirements to ensure we meet and exceed guest expectation in regards to any group or event booking.
