Job Description
Pottsgrove currently has vacancies for Building Substitute Teachers at Pottsgrove Middle School Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School Ringing Rocks Elementary School and West Pottsgrove Elementary School.
Building substitutes work on all student days and support classrooms as a teacher when the teacher of record is absent.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work cooperatively with the principal subject supervisors and other staff members to program for children for the day in the assigned classroom.
- Follow the teacher of records lesson plan as provided.
- Assess the attitudes skills and abilities of children for effective teaching and learning.
- Provide meaningful appropriate learning experiences for assigned groups of children including differentiated instruction to meet individual needs of children.
- Properly refer to the IST process those children experiencing unusual difficulties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Active and valid Pennsylvania teaching certificatepreferred.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Valid clearances dated within one year.
Location: Pottsgrove Middle School; Lower Pottsgrove Ringing Rocks and West Pottsgrove Elementary Schools
Compensation:$175 per day on student days
Assignment:Employed through our substitute partner Kelly Education.
Must have current Act 34 151 & 114 Clearances
