About the Opportunity
Join a prestigious multi-accredited law firm with over 200 years of heritage serving the Yorkshire region. Were seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our successful Residential Conveyancing department offering exceptional career development opportunities within one of Sheffields leading legal practices.
The Role
Youll assist and support fee earners on a varied caseload of residential property transactions managing and progressing cases under supervision whilst building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting fee earners with varied residential property transactions from instruction to completion
Managing and progressing conveyancing transactions under supervision with increasing autonomy
Dealing professionally with client enquiries providing regular updates and taking instructions
Preparing high-quality correspondence forms and legal documents in accordance with instructions
Facilitating exchange of contracts and coordinating completion processes
Preparing detailed financial statements and ensuring accuracy of all monetary transactions
Completing SDLT submissions and ensuring compliance with tax obligations
Preparing certificates for title for advance funds and mortgage requirements
Liaising proactively with clients estate agents financial advisers and mortgage lenders
Communicating effectively with other legal parties to ensure smooth transaction progression
Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Supporting the team with general conveyancing administration and file management
What Were Looking For
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar residential conveyancing paralegal role
Good understanding and knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures and processes
Strong knowledge of property law Land Registry requirements and conveyancing documentation
Exemplary client care and communication skills with professional telephone manner
Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously with excellent organisational skills
Proactive approach with ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
Proficiency in conveyancing case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Understanding of SDLT procedures and financial aspects of property transactions
