Location
Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder) the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.
The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzers Modern Diner) an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House) specialty restaurant (Bobs Steak & Chop House) coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20000 square foot ballroom 10000 square foot ballroom and a 4200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.
Job Description
The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is looking for an energetic part time Host for the brand new Seltzers Diner. If you enjoy meeting new people and creating memorable experiences then this may be the position for you! This position will ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner. This role will also be assisting with the Restaurant in Room program.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service
- Seat guests by finding a clean available table pulling out chairs and placing clean menu in front of guest
- Answer phone and record reservations for large parties
- Control high volume outside of restaurant
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability service safety and well being of guests
- Assist servers when needed
- Thank every guest upon departure invite them to return and wish them a fond farewell
- Deliver Restaurant in Room deliveries in a timely manner
Qualifications
Prior host experience preferred.
Must be able to multi-task and possess strong verbal/written communication skills.
Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
Must be able to move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance.
Must be able to work flexible shifts including days nights weekends and holidays.
Must be able to obtain Food Handlers certification upon hire.
Must be able to obtain TIPs upon hire.
Must reside within 50 miles of the hotel.
