About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and repair work on a range of heavy vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role combines workshop and field service work offering a dynamic and varied environment.
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager some of your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel engines heavy machinery and fleet vehicles
- Attending client sites as required (on a rotating on-call roster) to diagnose and resolve breakdowns
- Accurately troubleshooting and fixing mechanical faults using industry best practices
- Following WHS standards and contributing to a clean and safe work environment
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a qualified heavy vehicle mechanic
- A current manual drivers licence (MR/HR licence desirable)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Trade qualifications in heavy vehicle mechanics
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Great time management and self-motivation
