Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) has been a technology development and manufacturing leader of infrared systems forover 70 years and it continues to be one of the industry stakeholders in the production of high-tech vision products for a variety of space tactical and commercial applications. RVS is seeking an experienced Program Quality Engineer to implement and develop quality engineering and customer quality flow-down requirements throughout the proposal and program life cycle at our factory located in Goleta CA.

This is an onsite position.

What You Will Do:

  • Create or tailor existing quality planning to administer customer and internal quality requirements
  • Implement Quality Engineering responsibilities as a member of a program integrated product team (IPT)
  • Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified contained and managed throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementation
  • Ensure Quality Engineering engagement in program development design test requirements and verification including the transition of design to production
  • Guide multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on 8D Six Sigma Lean practices and other critical thinking improvement methods and resources
  • Manage the completion of Internal First Article Inspections (FAIs)
  • Guide business and program performance utilizing predictive and proactive measures and metrics
  • Maintain positive relationships with program administration cross-functional program stakeholders suppliers customers and government representatives.

Qualification You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and two (2) years of experience in Quality Engineering or Operations
  • Working experience with Quality Management Systems such as: IS0 9001AS9100.
  • Working experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology systems and resources.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Working experience inIndustry and Government Quality Requirements and Standards.
  • Infrared industry semiconductor processing or DoD industry experience.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Certification.
  • Experience with statistical and metrics software (e.g. Tableau Minitab).
  • Experience with factory systems and software (e.g. SAP Windchill).
  • Working experience in predictive and proactive measures metrics assessments and actions to improve performance or mitigate problems.
  • Experience leading assisting and/or mentoring others in routine settings and difficult situations.
  • Experience collaborating with program team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Word Excel and PowerPoint.

Employees who are working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

Clearance Information:This position requires the ability to obtain security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here: salary range for this role is 72000 USD - 144000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
