The Knappa School District is seeking to fill ONE 5.75 hours per day Special Education Program
Assistant at Hilda Lahti Elementary.
Title: Program Assistant 5.75 hours per day maximum
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent ability to pass
competency test OR Two-year college degree.
Supervises: Students
Reports to: Principal and Director of Special Services
Job Goal: Supervise and provide strong classroom management program support and structure to
increase student academic achievement by decreasing behavior concerns. Maintain a positive
flexible outlook while developing specific instructional strategies behavior management plans and
academic programs for students with behavioral and emotional disabilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with students in Special Education
2. Maintain confidentiality in all phases of work
3. Other duties as assigned
Evaluation: As determined by contract district policy and regulations.
