Job Description
Metro Physical Therapy is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Exercise Class Instructor to lead group fitness sessions at our partnered Assisted Living Facilities and outpatient clinics. This role is ideal for someone with a positive energetic personality who enjoys working closely with seniors to promote health wellness and independence.
Schedule:
- Glen Cove Mondays 9:3010:30am
- Roslyn Tuesdays & Fridays 1011am
- Jericho Wednesdays 10:3011:30am
- Garden City Thursdays 1111:45am
Pay Rate: $34/hour
Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
What Youll Do!
- Lead safe engaging and educational fitness classes tailored to active older adults.
- Motivate and encourage participants while fostering a fun supportive environment.
- Adapt exercises to accommodate varying levels of ability and mobility.
- Support facility wellness programs and participate in specialty classes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe workout space following all rules and safety procedures.
- Fitness or Personal Training Certification required.
- Current CPR AED and Liability Insurance.
- Valid NYS Drivers License.
- Prior experience teaching group exercise or fitness classes.
- Strong communication and motivational skills with a passion for working with seniors.
