Job Description

Clinical Group Facilitator
Locations: Peoria Facility & Phoenix Deer Valley Facility

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Clinical Group Facilitator to lead recovery-based groups for members working toward independence and community re-entry. Using an approved curriculum you will create engaging group sessions support members in setting recovery goals and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate dynamic curriculum-based groups multiple times per week/day

  • Keep members engaged through interactive activities and effective classroom management

  • Document sessions and progress within required timelines

  • Support members in setting and achieving personal recovery goals

  • Observe group dynamics report concerns and assist with daily living/re-entry skills

  • Encourage positive social skills to support job readiness and community success

  • Collaborate with therapists and care teams to enhance recovery plans

  • Maintain professional and ethical boundaries while fostering a supportive environment

Qualifications

  • Meets Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) requirements:

    • Bachelors in behavioral health field OR

    • Associate degree 2 years experience OR

    • High school diploma/GED 4 years behavioral health experience

  • At least 1 year of group facilitation experience required

  • Peer Support Specialist Certification & lived recovery experience preferred

  • Training in de-escalation recovery re-entry or related behavioral health areas

  • Strong communication organization and teamwork skills

  • CPR/First Aid & Crisis De-escalation certification required

  • Must be 21 and able to pass background drug TB and MVR checks

Work Environment

  • Outpatient clinical setting with group/classroom facilitation

  • Occasional community activities and trainings

  • Requires standing/speaking for extended periods and light lifting (up to 30 lbs)
