Job Description
Amazon in partnership with Whole Foods Market is seeking Software Development Engineers to build critical supply-chain technology solutions for distribution centers. This role offers the opportunity to develop end-to-end full-stack applications in Bangalore that optimize grocery retail operations through innovative AWS-native solutions.
Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer II you will own end-to-end delivery of significant features while serving as a technical leader. Youll design and implement solutions using native AWS services driving engineering best practices and mentoring team members to deliver high-quality software.
In this role you will:
* Design and implement scalable highly available systems using native AWS services
* Own and lead the technical delivery of major software features
* Drive technical strategy through collaboration with product teams
* Lead design reviews and provide meaningful code reviews
* Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence
* Balance customer requirements with architectural and operational needs
* Drive operational excellence and best practices for software development
About the team
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
