Job Description
Our client a reputable and well established manufacturing company based in Kettering is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.
The role could involve running several machines and offers variation.
The ideal CNC Machinist will possess as many of the following as possible in order to strengthen the application:
- Ability to program online (G Code) and operate manual guide.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and work within tolerances stated.
- Operate CNC machinery to a high standard using driven tooling
- Time Served Apprenticeship or proven experience in a similar environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling/turning machines according to technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings blueprints and job orders to determine machining requirements.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools fixtures and machine attachments for each job.
- Load raw materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment.
- Monitor the machine operation to ensure accuracy efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tool offsets to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent machine malfunctions and downtime.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
