Raytheons Receiver Exciter and Back End Processing (REBP) Department is seeking an electrical engineering leader with experience in engineering management design test and integration. The Section Leader will utilize advanced technical knowledge in Radar Receiver & Exciter Technology and understand the impact of this work on other areas of the organization. The candidate should demonstrate organizational leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

This 1st shift position will be 100% onsite and based in either Tewksbury MA or Marlborough MA.

Section Leader Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Manage a section of 15 to 20 engineers.

  • Provide career and technical mentoring.

  • Support hiring goals and building high performance teams.

  • Mentor and develop junior staff.

  • Support employee performance career development and growth throughout the year.

  • Technical problem solving project leadership proposal writing pursuing new business leader of development teams and lead organizational initiatives.

  • Work closely with other section leaders the department leader business units program offices senior leaders senior staff engineers and other development team members.

  • Communicate organizational goals and other pertinent information through monthly team meetings.

  • Modeling and Driving Raytheon Values and Behaviors.

Engineering Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Lead and support Receiver/Exciter product development transition to production and integration activities.

  • Design and development of receivers or exciters.

  • Participate in hardware design reviews.

  • Technical leadership during the transition to production and support to production activities.

  • Lead functional and cross-disciplinary teams to meet organizational goals.

  • Cost and schedule management.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 8 years of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum 5 years of prior work experience.

  • Experience with Microwave/RF system Mixed Signal subsystem hardware analysis design test and integration.

  • Experience working on designs from concept through production.

  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g. HFSS ADS CST and/or Mentor Graphics Xpedition) and analytical tools (e.g. MATLAB).

  • Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements design and test specifications.

  • Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle

  • Background in designing for manufacturability producibility and cost constraints which includes yield and margin analysis.

  • Development of technical proposals engineering project estimates and/or white papers.

  • Experience creating and presenting professional design documentation to company leadership and program customers.

  • Experience with manpower planning staffing and Earned Value Management Systems.

  • Technical background in any of the following areas:

    • Mixed Signal & Digital circuit design integration & test

    • RF Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning

    • Circuit card assembly and fabrication

    • High speed data converter test and characterization

    • Low Noise RF source design and test experience

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
