Marsh Advisory is a global leader within Marsh consisting of Property Casualty and Strategic Consulting Practices Analytics Solutions and Claims Advocates providing strategic advice and innovative solutions for complex risks. Being part of Marsh Advisory offers exposure to to pre and post loss disciplines like strategic risk claims loss control and analytics with projects spanning cyber risk ESG enterprise risk management business continuity property risk health & safety digital development and forensic accounting. Participants will work on challenging projects develop professionally participate in client meetings and gain broad exposure to the firms leadership and teams.
Within Advisory there are two career paths Risk Consulting and Technical Risk Consulting. Throughout the interview process youll further explore our career paths. After the final round of interviews if youre selected for an offer well match you with a placement that aligns with your interests skills and availability. The Team.
At Marsh our teams are integral in helping clients manage and reduce risks in real-world scenarios like medical pandemics music festival liabilities and financial scandals. As part of our team youll collaborate with clients to assess risks build relationships with insurance companies and secure competitive insurance quotes using your negotiation skills. By doing this youll make a significant impact in helping our clients minimize their overall risk costs in todays world.
Your Role.
Youll be aligned to a specific business group and work hands-on on an advisory team to make an impact.
As a Risk Consulting Colleague working within Marsh Advisory:
You will assist clients in mitigating risks developing recommendations and supporting project deliverables through research analysis and proposal development.
Potential business placements include: Emerging Risk Solutions Enterprise Risk Management Claims Advocacy Complex Liability Claims and Casualty Claims Consulting
As a Technical Risk Consulting Colleague working within Marsh Advisory:
You will be a consulting specialist responsible for the evaluation of risk scenarios preparation of reports and presentations for clients.
Potential business placements include: Property Risk Consulting Valuations Service Workforce Strategies Cat Modeling Analytics Solutions and Data Science
A TYPICAL DAY COULD INCLUDE:
Help clients mitigate risks recoveries and reduce total risk costs.
Perform research and analysis develop presentations and project materials
Support proposal writing and pitch development.
Analyze client risk profiles and present tailored recommendations.
Develop data-driven tools for risk evaluation.
Perform quantitative modeling and statistical risk assessments.
Identify strategies to minimize risk costs and volatility.
Forecast risks losses and impacts through scenario testing.
Collaborate to design models and processes for risk quantification and mitigation.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Current Juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2026 to June 2027
Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (3.5 preferred)
Majors preferred: Finance Economics Risk Management Computer Science Engineering Data Science Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences and Environmental Sciences (core focus in Occupational Health and Safety)
Location: Chicago / New York (Hybrid-based Schedule: at least 3 days in office per week)
Must have legal work authorization in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future in other words you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Green Card holder at the time of application
