Be part of the team responsible for designing and producing first-class live events and experiences for Dow Jones The Wall Street Journal and WSJ Barrons Group. The Dow Jones Events team pivoted to virtual and hybrid events during the pandemic and now produce virtual and in person events of all shapes sizes and formats bringing our brands to life for our members and our clients. At the heart of what we do is live journalism connecting our audiences with newsmakers and big ideas via ambitious experiences.
This position is a great opportunity for a talented and motivated person to join the team that produces best-in-class events and experiences for The Wall Street Journal Dow Jones and Barrons Group. You will be responsible for working closely with the team to support all elements required to produce high quality member and client-focused events. You will gain insight into event production design and management. You will work closely with colleagues in the US EMEA and APAC regions.
This role is hybrid based in our New York City office.
Provide logistical support to the Dow Jones Events team to ensure effective and successful planning and delivery of events
Create and manage project plans
Handle venue research and site visits
Complete industry and competitive research
Conduct vendor research
Produce virtual breakout sessions for events
Be responsible for Inventory management
Take ownership of note taking
Completed at least two years towards your Bachelors degree
Intermediate knowledge of Word Google Sheets PowerPoint Gmail and Google Suite
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Attention to detail
Understanding of Zoom
Basic level of graphic design is a plus
Salary: $25.00/hour
