Systems Administrator and Network Analyst Coe College seeks qualified candidates for the position of Systems Administrator and Network Analyst. This role serves as a member of the network administration team for the college and provides support for the network and hardware functions of the Office of Information Technology. This position provides direct and indirect technology support and training to students faculty and addition the network administrator serves as a member of the IT Offices cybersecurity and information security team. Essential Job Responsibilities: - Network Administration:
- Assist in administering college network systems and advise on systems issues.
- Implement maintain improve and support the colleges network infrastructure including a large wireless environment and firewall system.
- Assist in managing single sign on and active directory.
- Assist in developing implementing and enforcing policies and procedures regarding software and hardware reporting database access license compliance backups system security and status reports.
- Manage domain names and security certificates.
- Security: Stay informed of all cybersecurity related compliance advise on best practices and serve on the IT Offices cybersecurity and information security team while ensuring the colleges technological environment is secure.
- Desktop Support: Provide technical support to faculty staff and students regarding hardware software wireless connectivity printers and other network and hardware related equipment and needs including both Windows and Apple devices.

- Assist in the selection of vendors and products for network hardware software and services.
- Create and maintain documentation for all assigned tasks.
- Provide campus-wide technology support through an on-call duty rotation.
- Assist with development implementation and maintenance of the campus-wide technology goals.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in an information technology-related field.

- Successful completion of a background check in accordance with Coe College policy.
Knowledge Skills and Competencies: Position Specific: - Ability to define problems collect data establish facts draw valid conclusions and provide solutions.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware software networking and related technologies including: VMware server Microsoft OS and Active Directory and networking (SANs VLANs Wireless Firewalls Google Suite).
- Ability to develop and manage vendor relationships.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience with Linux and Apache.
- Experience with mySQL or a desire to learn.
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Experience with Apple and Windows desktop support or a strong desire to learn both.
- Cybersecurity related knowledge and experience or a strong desire to learn.
