StoredTech is seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Onboarding Engineer to join our growing Service Delivery team. This individual will be responsible for managing and executing all technical aspects of onboarding new clients-ensuring a seamless transition into our environment and a delightful experience for our clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction has a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and thrives on delivering exceptional service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the technical onboarding process for new clients from kickoff to completion
- Conduct thorough discovery and documentation of client environments including servers workstations networks cloud solutions applications and third-party vendors
- Perform technical assessments and recommend improvements for standardization and best practices
- Set up and configure tools such as RMM PSA antivirus backup monitoring and documentation systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams -like security and managed services to ensure comprehensive onboarding experience
- Create and update detailed client documentation in ITGlue
- Ensure that all systems are aligned with StoredTech standards and are clearly documented and communicated
- Provide client training and support during the onboarding period to ensure understanding and satisfaction
- Document opportunities for additional services or solutions during the onboarding process
- Serve as the primary technical contact for the client during onboarding ensuring excellent communication and satisfaction
- Transition clients to their dedicated support team with a detailed handoff and knowledge transfer
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in IT support systems administration or engineering role (MSP experience preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge across Microsoft 365 Azure networking firewalls servers virtualization and cloud services
- Excellent project coordination time management and communication skills
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
- Client-first mindset with the ability to translate complex technical information into simple terms
- Experience with RMM tools PSA systems (like ConnectWise or Autotask) and documentation platforms such as ITGlue
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
