CNC Setter Structural Steel Fabrication Leeds 3540k
Location: Leeds Salary: Hours: 40 per week core 8:3017:00
Are you an experienced CNC setter looking to take the next step in your career This hybrid role offers the chance to continue hands-on setting while also developing programming and machine optimisation skills. Ideal for someone with a strong background in structural steel fabrication.
What youll do:
Set up operate and maintain CNC steel processing machines (Ficep Kaltenbach Peddinghaus and Voortman)
Support programming make adjustments and optimise machine outputs for efficiency and quality
Read and interpret CAD files DSTV data and engineering drawings to ensure accurate setups
Troubleshoot issues on the shop floor and contribute to workflow improvements
Maintain programme libraries documentation and revision control
What were looking for:
Proven experience as a CNC setter in structural steel fabrication
Hands-on knowledge of Ficep Kaltenbach or Peddinghaus machinery; Voortman experience is a plus
Ready to step into programming and optimisation responsibilities
Strong understanding of steel profiles materials and fabrication processes
Excellent problem-solving skills attention to detail and precision
